Holy Week begins with Palm/Passion Sunday Services planned for 8:30 a.m. March 20 in the Main Post Chapel and at 6:30 p.m. in Prosser Chapel. Holy Thursday Mass takes place at 7 p.m. March 24 in the Main Post Chapel. There will be a Good Friday Mass and Adoration of the Cross celebrated at 7 p.m. March 25 at the Main Post Chapel.

On Holy Saturday, an Easter Vigil Mass is set for 7 p.m. March 26 in the Main Post Chapel. It will be followed by a blessing of Easter baskets and potluck fellowship meal immediately after mass.

Protestant worship set

Fort Huachuca's Protestant community will hold a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. March 25 in Kino Chapel. Easter Sunday Gospel Services take place at 9 a.m. March 27 at Kino Chapel and at 11 a.m. the same day in the Main Post Chapel.

The Chapel at Prosser Village will be the site of a 9:30 a.m. Protestant Easter Service and an 11 a.m. Liturgical Service March 27.

Jewish community to hold Passover in April

A Passover Meal and Observance will be held at 6:30 p.m. April 22 in the Main Post Chapel Activities Room.

Easter Sunday community events planned

Fort Huachuca invites members of all faiths from post and the surrounding community to the Easter Sunrise Service to be held at 6 a.m. March 27 at Reservoir Hill. Chaplain (Col.) Gregory B. Edison, Network Enterprise Technology Command chaplain, will present the sermon. The Fort Huachuca Praise Team will present the prelude, postlude and other hymns.

Due to limited parking at this popular service, motorists should park at the Main Post Chapel and board buses to the event. Buses leave the parking lot at 5:30 and 5:45 a.m. and will return to the chapel after the service. Those with limited mobility may drive directly to Reservoir Hill and park there.

"Parking has been a big problem in the past, and we encourage attendees to use the buses," said Deputy Installation Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Steven A. Maglio.

All children are invited to participate in an Easter Egg Hunt at 10:30 a.m. March 27 in the Main Post Chapel courtyard.
