Twelve Army Medicine officers became Fellows of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) at the ACHE annual convocation March 13 in Chicago.
The FACHE credential signifies board certification in healthcare management. Candidates for the certification must meet certain educational and experience requirements, join and maintain tenure in ACHE, and pass an examination before the designation is awarded.
The twelve new ACHE Fellows are:

Capt. LaCharles M. Brown, FACHE
Lt. Col. Casey Carver, FACHE
Lt. Col. Michelle Gradnigo, FACHE
Capt. Brandon W. Koser, FACHE
Maj. John Lavoie, FACHE
Lt. Col. Ian Lee, DSc, FACHE
Maj. Alex Montgomery, FACHE
Maj. Serena Mukai, FACHE
Maj. Maria H. Shelton, RN, FACHE
In addition to the new Fellows, Col. Mark D. Swofford, PhD, FACHE, was among 20 healthcare executives who were elected to serve three-year terms as Regents of the ACHE. The Regents took office March 12 at the Council of Regents Meeting preceding ACHE's 59th Congress on Healthcare Leadership.
The elected Regents will represent ACHE members in their respective jurisdictions. All individuals are board certified in healthcare management as ACHE Fellows.
