USAREUR Command Sergeant Major meets with Georgian Chief of General Staff

The command sergeant major of U.S. Army Europe, Command Sgt. Maj. Sheryl D. Lyon pays a working visit to Georgia, March 1. The Chief of General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Maj. General Vakhtang Kapanadze hosted Lyon at the General Staff office.

"The visit of Command Sgt. Maj. of U.S. Army Europe is very important for us," said Kapanadze. " She is accompanied by our Sergeant Major who will do his best to show her all our achievements. We are very proud that we've developed the professional NCO School and it is one or our greatest achievements."

Kapanadze stated that he hopes to host more visits like this so different contries and their goal will not only be to give advice but to also share experiences.

Kapanadza also stated that Lyon and the Georgian Armed Forces Sgt. Maj. Beso Khatiashvili will attend the OCC Battalion training and visit the NCO School. Within the frames of her visit the Lyon will get acquainted with the training process of the Georgian sergeants.
