Congratulations to the U.S. Army Quartermaster School's 2015 Instructor of the Year, Staff Sgt. Jasmin Joyner, Joint Culinary Training Center. The Quartermaster school held an awards ceremony at the Lee Club Feb. 19, to recognize the hard work and dedication the Soldiers made in ensuring students received the best training possible to accomplish their missions. She was one of five instructors that competed for the title. The runner-up is Staff Sgt. Albert Sands with the Petroleum and Water Department.
This year, the competitors had to test their abilities in a revamped event that rigorously evaluated their technical and tactical knowledge, communication skills and classroom management.
"To be selected as an instructor means that a lot of confidence and responsibility is placed on these individuals, and these five instructors are the best-of-the-best," said Command Sgt. Maj. Jimmy J. Sellers, Quartermaster Regimental Command Sergeant Major. "The fact they are representing the best, in a very large organization, speaks volumes about their professionalism. As we move forward, the importance of education and the major role instructors play in developing the future Army is critical."
