"There is simply no organization more capable of fulfilling our mission of providing capabilities to meet our nation's objectives."
SDDC is responsible for meeting the transportation needs for all the military branches throughout the world and has units stationed across the globe which manage major sea, air and rail operations ranging from cargo distribution, specialized services, transportation, and mission support services.
The awardees competed in 66 distinct categories. The 597th Transportation Brigade brought home 16 of the awards with seven awards going to the 841st Transportation Battalion, four to the 842nd Trans. Bn. and the remaining going to the brigade headquarters staff.

In recognition of their achievements, each awardee will have their photo prominently displayed in the SDDC headquarters entrance hall for the next year. Additionally, each received a trophy, a certificate of appreciation and a personal note of thanks signed by the SDDC commanding general.
"Throughout the past half century, SDDC has expertly accomplished its mission in support of America's Warfighters," Davidson said. Please know that you are all part of SDDC's great heritage and that the work you accomplish every day is both noticed and appreciated!"
