TACOM Commander Maj. Gen. Gwen Bingham, Command Sgt. Maj. Jesse Sharpe, and Integrated Logistics Support Center Director Col. Jeff Viera visited the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, Calif., in mid-January to assess TACOM's support to NTC rotations. The group met with Maj. Gen. Joe Martin, commanding general of the National Training Center and Fort Irwin; the 916th Sustainment Brigade and members of the Goldminer Team; toured the National Urban Warfare Center; and conducted battlefield circulation with 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment leaders. The group observed logistical support areas for the 2/2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, one of the Joint Base Lewis McCord-headquartered units on its training rotation.
