Fort Bragg closes in advance of Winter Storm Jonas

FORT BRAGG, N.C. - Fort Bragg is scheduled to be closed Jan. 22 due to inclement weather.

Womack Army Medical Center's Emergency Department will remain open. All other WAMC services will be closed. If you have an appointment scheduled for Jan. 22, you will be contacted by the clinic to reschedule.

Fort Bragg Schools will be closed.

Chains of command will advise their Service members which Dining Facilities will be open.

Fort Bragg's Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation facilities and programs, including Child Development Centers, will be closed, as well as the Commissaries and Exchanges.

Gruber West Gate will be made available for emergency traffic as required.

Continue to monitor local stations and social media sites for news, weather and installation updates. We will continue to post any updates on the installation's status as we receive them.

The roads in and around Fort Bragg are extremely dangerous and the N.C. Highway Patrol highly recommends drivers stay off of them. If you have to use the roads for an emergency, we recommend you call your destination first to ensure it is open.
