PRESS RELEASE: Special Operations Soldiers to participate in Army All-American Bowl Activities

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, Dec. 18, 2015) -- Ten United States Army Special Operations Soldiers will serve as mentors to more than 90 of the nation's top high school football players for the upcoming U.S. Army All-American Bowl activities, Jan. 4-9, 2016, at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Activities throughout Bowl Week help connect these All-American athletes with Army Soldier mentors from around the country and provide a better understanding of what it takes and what it means to be Army Strong Soldiers.

The 10 USASOC Soldiers are:

• Capt. Angel Rosario -- 8th Military Information Support Operations (Airborne)

• Chief Warrant Officer 3 Heiko Grant -- 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne)

• Sgt. 1st Class Ryan Stewart -- 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne)

• Sgt. 1st Class Jeremy Buzzard -- 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne)

• Staff Sgt. Lance Krek -- 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne)

• Staff Sgt. Dan Posey -- 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne)

• Staff Sgt. Ryann Sartor -- 95th Civil Affairs (Airborne)

• Staff Sgt. Brandon Weber -- 75th Ranger Regiment

• Sgt. Gary Sherohman -- 75th Ranger Regiment

• Sgt. Graham Cheben -- 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne)

The All-American Bowl showcases this strength, as well as the unique characteristics and core Army values that define the extraordinary Americans who wear the Army colors. The U.S. Army All-American Bowl has a strong legacy that includes many of today's NFL and college stars.
