CAMP ZAMA, Japan (Dec. 14, 2015) -- Zama Community Spouses' Association hosted a Holiday Parade of Homes tour Dec. 8 with participants touring multiple homes throughout the Camp Zama Community.

The evening began at Camp Zama's East Meets West Gift Shop as participants sampled homemade appetizers and sweets while listening to the Zama American High School Band, Choir and Strings performing four and three piece ensembles.

Participants visited eight homes with decorations that reflected the families' traditions, values, collections, and memories made throughout the years.

The decorations displayed on the tour spoke the story of what many service member's families have experienced - memories of countless duty stations throughout the U.S. and around the world, in addition to the precious traditions held with family back in their hometowns said Cecilia Duarte, ZaCSA's community events chairman.

"The Holiday Parade of Homes was a great way to get into the holiday spirit while helping raise funds for a good cause," Duarte. All the proceeds, about $400, benefits ZaCSA's community grants and scholarships programs.
