405th AFSB gives back to the Fisher House, USO Warrior Center

KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany -- The 405th Army Field Support Brigade Family Readiness Group visited the Fisher House and the United Service Organization Warrior Center, Dec. 1, providing donations earned at the brigade's bake sale and chili cook-off.

The FRG received an orientation about the USO Warrior Center at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. They also made donated toiletries, coffee supplies and healthy snack food items.

The Landstuhl Fisher Houses provide a home away from home for families and patients receiving medical care at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany. They offer food, toiletries and other amenities to help make patients' and their families' stay comfortable and relaxing. The FRG also donated coffee supplies and toiletries to the Fisher House.

The Landstuhl USO Warrior Center serves patients at the Medical Treatment Detachment that are able to leave their wards for periods of time. They are set up with TVs, phones, laptops, free WiFi and other items for patients to use. They offer daily snacks and an evening meal.
