US, Serbian engineers meet, plan future partnership events

BELGRADE, Serbia -- Lt. Col. Clete Goetz, 15th Engineer Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, overlooks a training area at the Serbian Peacekeeping Operations Center, here, while discussing future partnership possibilities with a senior Serbian military officer.

Command Sgt. Maj. Chad Blansett, senior enlisted advisor, 15th Eng. Bn.; and Lt. Col. Joe Logan, commander, Detachment 1, 200th Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineers, or Red Horse, Ohio Air National Guard; and other Ohio National Guardsmen from the 16th Engineer Brigade jointed Goetz on the five-day engineer partnership visit to Serbia, Nov. 16-20.

The U.S. delegation traveled to Serbia to assist the Serbian Armed Forces with the development of an Engineer Peacekeeping Company and plan future partnership events in the coming months.
