An  AH-64D Apache attack helicopter from 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, as it soars overhead upon departure from Robert Gray Army Airfield, Fort Hood, Texas, Jan. 8. The aircraft is leaving for Fort Irwin, Calif. to conduct a month-long rotation at the National Training Center.
