GRAFENWOEHR, Germany -- Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Farnsworth, the commanding general of the U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center, visited the 7th Army Joint Multinational Training Command, Oct. 5, 2015, here.
During this visit, Brig. Gen. Christopher G. Cavoli, the commanding general of JMTC, and Col. William Lindner, JMTC's chief of staff, briefed Farnsworth on the many assets and capabilities the command had to offer.
Cavoli and Lindner also talked about the many directorates of JMTC within the Grafenwoehr, Hohenfels and Vilseck training areas that work together to provide live real-time and virtual training to U.S. Soldiers and our Allies. Farnsworth then watched a short video of some current and past training exercises.
"Our Grafenwoehr Training Area has some of the best ranges, if not the best, in the entire Army," said Cavoli.
After his tour of the JMTC headquarters, Farnsworth visited some facilities and ranges in GTA.
"It is amazing what JMTC can do, providing a strategic presence and working with partners to build strong relationships and cohesion," said Farnsworth.
Before ending his visit, Farnsworth met with leaders from the 2nd Cavalry Regiment and the 4th Infantry Division.
