ARNORTH Change of Command

Lt. Gen. Thomas R. Turner (center), commanding general, U.S. Army North (ARNORTH) presides over the ARNORTH Headquarters and Headquarters Company change of command ceremony Jan. 6, 2009, at Fort Sam Houston.  Maj. Thomas R. Hopkins (right) will replace Scott A. Peachey (left) and take command of HHC, which supports more than 500 Soldiers and civilians working at ARNORTH.  ARNORTH is the Joint Force Land Component Command for U.S. Northern Command and conducts homeland defense and civil support missions in times of crisis throughout the U.S.
