WEST POINT, N.Y. (September 23, 2015) -- U.S. Military Academy at West Point Yearling Tanner Andrews and Firstie Warren Kay were recognized by the Collegiate Sprint Football League as the first Defensive and Special Teams Player-of-the-Week recipients of 2015 Sept. 22, following an impressive 34-0 season-opening victory over Post.

Andrews, an Elburn, Illinois native, played a major roll defensively for the Black Knights Sept. 18. He had a hand in three of the team's six turnovers in the game with two interceptions and a fumble recovery. Andrews also contributed 3.5 tackles, including one for a loss.

Kay, who was named to the All-CSFL 1st team at the conclusion of 2014, was a perfect five for five on his kicks to open 2015, including two field goals. The Goshen, Indiana native, booted a 38-yarder in the second quarter and added a 22-yard kick in the fourth while converting all three of his PAT attempts.

The Black Knights return to action on Sept. 25, when they travel to Princeton, N.J. to take on the Tigers at 7 p.m.
