ANSBACH, Germany -- (Sept. 4, 2015) The Religious Support Office of U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach celebrated the 240th Anniversary of the Chaplain Corps here, during the Community Showcase conducted at the new Katterbach Fitness Center.
"Celebrating the Chaplain Corps Anniversary at the Community Showcase, is just another strong example of how the RSO provides support, strengthens and spiritually safeguards the USAG Ansbach community," USAG Ansbach's Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Robert Kent Walker said.
During his remarks, Chaplain Walker also highlighted the level of commitment and support, which Unit Ministry Teams have provided since the Army's inception.
The RSO also offered to the first 150 theatergoers free admission to the newly released, faith-based and inspiring movie "War Room", showing at the local movie theater later that day. Seventy people took advantage of the offer.
The annual Community Showcase drew nearly 250 community members, affording RSO ample opportunity to demonstrate its commitment to spiritually support Soldiers, Family members and Department of Defense Civilians, as the new school year began.
