CONSTANTA, Romania -- 18th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion's Task Force Warhammer Forge Soldiers took time out of leading logistical support to Atlantic Resolve - South to represent the Army by participating in a 5K color run in Constanta, Romania on August 8th 2015.

"I figured this would be a good way to get out and meet citizens and help build our alliance in a NATO country," said Master Sgt. Bryan Smith, Operations NCOIC, Texas National Guard's 149th Human Resources Platoon and Houston, Texas native. "We gathered more than 50 Soldiers and Marines from Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base."

The color run promotes health and wellness and brings the community together. Organizers gave Soldiers t-shirts, race numbers, headbands, and colored powder.

Spc. David Mota, petroleum supply specialist, 240th Quartermaster Company and Bronx, New York native said, "It's good to come together to build morale."

"This was a volunteer event, and I'm impressed with such a large turnout," said Cpt. Arturo Harvey, Task Force Warhammer Forge commander and Fredericksburg, Virginia native.

After the race, people threw the powder to celebrate. The Soldiers look forward to further engaging the community to strengthen the alliance with the Romanians.
