WEST POINT, N.Y. -- U.S. Army Garrison West Point's Visual Information division is awarded two first place, and one second place statuettes from the 36th Annual Telly Awards, Aug. 20.
The Visual Information division is a part of the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security and is dedicated to producing video, audio and photography products for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and U.S. Army Garrison West point.
The Telly Awards, an international awards competition from the private sector, honors the finest film and video productions, groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films, and outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs.
The Telly Awards selection committee received over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents for this competition. Some of the major broadcasting media that entered this competition were CNN, CNBC, Discovery, Disney, ESPN, FOX, NBC, Bloomberg and Warner Brothers.
Being awarded these statuettes shows that the West Point Visual Information division can produce professional grade videos that are judged equal to or better than companies in the private sector.
The U.S. Army Garrison West Point DPTMS-VI team received:
- 2015 Silver Award (1st Place): 1st Lt. Alonzo Cushing Vignette Online Video - Online Webisodes, Segments, or Promotional Pieces for History/Biography
- 2015 Silver Award (1st Place): America's Academy 2013 Online Video-Online Webisodes, Segments, or Promotional Pieces for Education
- 2015 Bronze Award (2nd Place) : It's on Us 2014 Online Video - Online Webisodes, Segments, or Promotional Pieces for Social Issues
