WIESBADEN, Germany -- Human resources Soldiers and civilian professionals are now eligible to be nominated for the annual Lt. Gen. Frederick E. Vollrath Awards competition.

"The program recognizes the top human resource personnel in support of military personnel throughout the Army in Europe," said John Spillman, a human resources specialist at U.S. Army Europe's headquarters. "Commanders should nominate their personnel who demonstrate excellence in providing support to their fellow Soldiers and their families."

This program was developed by U.S. Army Europe's personnel division to recognize specific human resource personnel for their quality service and leadership. Nominations are due by Nov. 13.

Commanders should nominate Soldier and civilian human resource professionals who have demonstrated superior leadership and achievement. Endorsers and their nominees are required to write a narrative in accordance with the program's memorandum-of-instruction that was distributed to major subordinate commands and brigades theater-wide.

After the submission period, board panels consisting of senior military and civilian human resource professionals will vote on each packet. Voting criteria will heavily assess the nominee's specific human resource achievements.

The board will make their decisions and the winners will be announced in January, followed by a formal awards ceremony approximately a few weeks after the announcement.

For more information on the program and packet requirements, visit Army Europe G1's SharePoint portal under G1>TAG>AAB or contact your human resource division.
