VICENZA, Italy -- The Vicenza Dental Clinic welcomed a new commander July 29 during a ceremony at Hoekstra Field on Caserma Ederle. Lanstuhl Dental Activity commander, Col. Craig G. Patterson, passed the guidon from Col. R. Craig Shakespeare to Lt. Col. Alfred C. Anderson. Shakespeare has been the Vicenza Dental Clinic commander for the past two years. This was his sixth, and last, command as he is now retiring from the military. As for the new commander, this is Anderson's first command. He said he is excited about working in Italy and serving the members of the Vicenza Military Community, including the 173rd Airborne Brigade and U.S. Army Africa. "I'm really looking forward to it," he said.
