Lt. Gen. Patricia Horoho, Surgeon General of the Army, welcomed Brig. Gen. Kyung-Hye Choi, Superintendent of the Korean Armed Forces Nursing Academy, to the Office of the Surgeon General.

Horoho presented Choi with the Order of Military Medical Merit, referred to as the O2M3. The O2M3 recognizes distinguished service among Army Medical Department personnel. Horoho stated that Choi was making a difference by helping her country focus on wellness.

The two leaders followed the presentation of the O2M3 with an extended discussion on health and wellness issues affecting both countries, enhancing military medical diplomacy between the US and the Republic of Korea, Army Medicine's transition to a high-reliability organization, and opportunities to partner in enhancing health care.
