FORT BRAGG, N.C. - Do you find yourself sitting in front of the television or doing the same old boring activities every weekend? If that sounds like you, there is a possible way to spice up your free time.

The Fort Bragg Morale, Welfare, and Recreation's office of Leisure Travel Services, a full-service travel agency, can assist people with finding activities on and off post. The office also offers all-inclusive cruise and vacation packages, and tickets to various attractions at discounted rates throughout the United States.

If you enjoy activities close to home, one-day activities, or just looking to escape the heat and cool down, LTS can help you choose some things to do around North and South Carolina.

"Lots of people purchase tickets for local attractions such as Carowinds, Emerald Pointe Park, and events at the Crown Complex," said Deloris Gardner, business manager of LTS.

The LTS office has evolved over the years, and is now an authorized Ticketmaster retail outlet, with the ability to sell tickets to events nationwide.

"I have been working in the LTS office for over 10 years now," said Gardner. "I've seen the office grow; on average we see between 250 and 300 customers a day."

Being a travel agency on a military installation, LTS also can assist military members with finding special discounts and offers.

For example, all active duty service members can receive free admission for themselves and up to three dependents once a year at specific amusement parks, such as SeaWorld.

MWR also hosts multiple events on post, many of which are free or at a very low cost. Events range anywhere from sporting competitions to concerts to mom and baby play mornings to bowling and special trips for single service members.

"I like attending events on Fort Bragg, especially the free ones," said Rodderick Barlow, Beauregard, Mississippi, native. "I like to take advantage of being in a military community."

With summer in full swing, take advantage of great offers on and off post, before the season ends. Don't forget to stop by the LTS office inside the mini mall; you might just save a few bucks.
