RAMSTEIN, Germany -- Soldiers from 19th Battlefield Coordination Detachment, supported the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's AIRCOM Ramstein as part of Ambition II 15 exercises, June 20-30, here.

The 19th BCD used the exercise to get "NATO ready" to provide air/ground capability at the operational level in NATO.

They were able to build relationships with allied nations by familiarizing themselves with each other's process and procedures, increase interoperability between mission command systems and facilitating air/ground integration between the various NATO component commands.

RAN II 15 was an exercise, with 27 nations taking part and about 600 participants, to prepare AIRCOM to function as a Joint Headquarters during a Small Joint Operation (air-heavy) mission.
