REDSTONE ARSENAL, Alabama -- A U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command officer says farewell and begins a new chapter.

Lt. Col. Kerry G. Clements, chief of the Missile Defense Division of the USASMDC/ARSTRAT's Training and Doctrine Command Capability Manager for Space and Global Missile Defense, retired during a ceremony at the command's Redstone Arsenal headquarters May 15.

During the ceremony Clements received the Meritorious Service Award, an American flag, a certificate of appreciation from President Obama, a three-star note from SMDC's commanding general, and a certificate of retirement and pin.

Clements retired with 21 years of service.
