Since 1985, Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) has been held each May to honor public servants and the work they do for our Nation. It is a week set aside to show appreciation to all the talented and dedicated men and women who serve our nation as federal, state, county, and local government employees for the outstanding value and service they provide to their fellow citizens. This year's theme is "Government Works".

Employees from the U.S. Army Audit Agency's Operations Center and its field offices celebrated PSRW during the week by holding a variety of lunchtime events such as pizza parties, pot luck, BBQ cookouts, ice cream socials, and bowling. Several offices even decided to hold their luncheons on the 5th to combine with the Cinco De Mayo celebration! It was a great bonding experience for many, an opportunity to share stories of how careers with the government began, and to reflect on the value of public service.
