WIESBADEN, Germany -- Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, commanding general, U.S. Army Europe, visited the Finnish Army, May 12-14.
During his visit, Hodges met with Lt. Gen. Seppo Toivonen, commander, Finnish Army, and his staff, as well as with the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Defense, Lt. Gen. Arto Räty.
Hodges also visited the Finnish troops at MECHEX 2015, to include the Pori and Armored brigades at the Pohjankanges Training area.
Hodges was invited to speak at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs, one of Finland's main foreign policy think tanks, May 13. In attendance were more than 100 diplomats, politicians and university representatives.
