Skills & Drills, 7 on 7 competition and 1 on 1 development are just a few features young athletes will experience at the USA Football clinic hosted by USAG Humphreys Family and MWR Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3.
Seven USA Football master trainers from across the United States will be on site teaching proper football techniques, skills and fundamentals. Trainers are seasoned NFL players and coaches and include Michael Haynes, Scott Taylor, Donald Davis, Willie Pile, Anthony Stone, George Teague and Billy Elmore.
Area I, Yongsan, Humphreys, Daegu and Osan Air Base high school and youth athletes who are military Family members are encouraged to participate in this fun-filled and action-packed event.
The High School Football Clinic will be held May 2, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the Humphreys High School Football Field. It is open to 8th - 12th graders, including graduating seniors, and the cost is $20 per player and includes a t-shirt, three meals, snack and instruction.
Not only will athletes have the opportunity to learn from USA Football master trainers, but they will have the opportunity to try out for USA Football's National Team. The U.S. National Team represents the United States in international competitions and is made up of players from across the United States.
At the clinic, athletes will have the opportunity to compete for roster spots on their age-appropriate team. In February 2016, U.S. National Teams will represent the United States of America against Canada at Dallas Cowboy's AT&T Stadium.
25 spaces each are available for Humphreys, Seoul American, Osan and Daegu High Schools, so secure your spot soon! Registration runs April 6 - 24.
Humphreys and Osan Families should register at the Camp Humphreys Community Activity Center, in person or by contacting DSN 753-8825. Area I Families should register through Camp Casey's Community Activity Center, in person or by contacting DSN 730-4601. Area II Families should register through Commiskey's Community Activities Center, in person or by contacting DSN 738-6882 or 6883. Area IV Families should register at the Camp Walker Community Activity Center, in person or by contacting DSN 764-5919.
A clinic for youth ages 7 - 16 will be held Sunday, May 3 from noon to 6:30 p.m. at the Humphreys High School Football Field. The cost is $10 per player and includes a t-shirt, barbeque lunch and instruction. 150 spaces are available peninsula-wide - secure your spot as soon as possible! Registration runs April 6 - 24.
