What is your job?
I keep up with the property administration for the organization. Our organization is spread out geographically throughout multiple CONUS locations and I manage the property for several of these locations. I analyze and interpret DoD, AMC and Defense Logistics Agency regulations and procedures for Key control and various SOPs. I also make sure that all employee information is updated in case of FEMA emergencies.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy interacting with personnel from across the COCOMs.
Did you serve in the military? If yes, for how long and what did you do?
Yes, I spent 23 years in the Army and retired as a Master Sergeant (MSG/E-8). I spent time in various signal units around the world and really enjoyed my time while serving as a drill sergeant.
What are you usually doing when you're not at work?
Fishing, camping, or traveling.
If you could speak directly to the Soldier you support, what would you say?
Simply, "Thank you for your service."
What would people be most surprised to learn about you?
I worked special assignment for the secret service and I was also a great softball player before my knees and back wore out.
Who are your heroes or who has inspired you? Why?
My heroes are all the men and women who serve our country. The person who really inspires me is my wife Lee. She is the light of my life and keeps me on my toes daily.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A bigger kid.
