North Chesterfield, Va. -- Junior and senior noncommissioned Officers of three separate Army Reserve commands each took an oath to continue serving during a mass reenlistment ceremony at the 80th Training Command Headquarters, Richmond, Va. Mar. 7, 2015.

Brig. Gen. Richard Torres, 80th TC deputy commander, presided over the ceremony which included Soldiers from the 80th TC, the 275th Quartermaster Company, the 55th Sustainment Brigade, and the 380th Army Band 99th Regional Support Command.

Spc. Generon Winfield, 275th QM Company Fort Pickett, Va., said part of his decision to reenlist was to keep the family tradition going. Winfield's father, a Vietnam Veteran, and his mother smiled as they watched their family's second generation take the oath of commitment.

For Sgt. 1st Class Shere Reese, a Human Resources Specialist, this was her third reenlistment.

"I decided to complete 20 years of service," said Reese. who'll now continue serving for six more years.

The reenlistment ceremony was part Operation Full Court Press, a retention initiative designed to help the Army Reserve meet Congressionally-mandated end strength goals in terms of maintaining manpower and readiness.
