WASHINGTON (March 4, 2015) -- Command Sgt. Maj., David O. Turnbull, Joint Force Headquarters - National Capital Region/U.S. Army Military district of Washington command sergeant major, was presented the Legion of Merit for his service during the past 31 months at a farewell awards presentation at Fort Lesley J. McNair, hosted by Maj. Gen. Jeffrey S. Buchanan, JFHQ-NCR/MDW commanding general.

During his career, Turnbull has served in every key leadership position in the Infantry from Team Leader to Command Sergeant Major and he has been selected to be the Command Sgt. Maj. at the Combined Arms Center, Fort Leavenworth, Kan.
