Mentors help students year-round

FORT MCPHERSON, Ga. -- Soldiers and mentors who participate in The Little Soldiers program -- from left, Sgt. Maj. Scarlett Williams, personnel sergeant major for U.S. Army Forces Command; Marilyn Taylor, an Eastern Stars representative; Carl L. Hunter, assistant principal at Conley Hills Elementary School in East Point; and Capt. LaShone Garth, future concepts officer, G-7, First Army - sort through donated school supplies recently. This is the second year the group has been mentoring students at the school. Soldiers meet with about 20 girls from Conley Hills weekly.
