Eastern Accord 15 Exercise commences in Jinja, Uganda

VICENZA, Italy -- In partnership with the Uganda Peoples Defense Forces, U.S. Army Africa conducts Eastern Accord 15 (EA 15), in Jinja, Uganda from March 2-14.

Approximately 320 military personnel from Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Djibouti, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and the U.S. are participating in this exercise. Eastern Accord 15 enhances participant capabilities to plan and employ its forces to effectively counter violent extremist organizations as well as enhancing cooperation and coordination among participating partners. This will consist of classroom instruction and a command post exercise.

Once the exercise is complete, U.S. participants will return to their home station.
