HRANICE, Czech -- A cross-functional team of Observer Coach Trainers from the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany travelled to Hranice this week to facilitate a Joint Combined Academics Program seminar for the Czech Land Forces' 7th Mechanized Brigade from Feb. 23-27, 2015.
The 7th Brigade is preparing for Allied Sprit II in Hohenfels this summer. Allied Spirit II is a U.S. Army Europe led exercise designed to provide multinational interoperability training at brigade and battalion levels to enhance U.S. and Alliance effectiveness.
The Joint Combined Academics Program, or JCAP, allows OCTs to share interoperability lessons learned and best practices across a wide spectrum of topics gathered from multiple Decisive Action Training Environment rotations held at JMRC.
Earlier in the week, Ambassador Andrew H. Shapiro, U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republic, spoke to members of the 7th Mechanized Brigade of the Czech Land Forces during the training. Ambassador Shapiro spoke to the great relationship between the United States and the Czech Republic, a large part of which is fostered through numerous training events at JMRC.
The JMRC falls under the leadership of U.S. Army Europe's training command, the 7th Army Joint Multinational Training Command headquartered out of Grafenwoehr, Germany. To learn more about the exercises it hosts at both Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels, visit www.eur.army.mil/JMTC/exercises.html.
