CONTINGENCY OPERATING BASE ADDER, Iraq - Soldiers of the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division "Long Knives" can now enjoy their own coffee house with the opening of Green Beans Coffee Oct. 29.

Troops eagerly waited for a first taste after the ribbon to the store's entrance was cut.

The shops grand opening was just before noon, when Green Bean employees started pouring cups of coffee and passing them to the Soldiers and civilians stationed here -- just in time for a quick cup after lunch.

Jerry Myers, the general manager of the Contingency Operating Base Adder Post Exchange; Col. Philip Battaglia, the commander of the Long Knife Brigade; Kinl Clinton, the Green Beans Coffee Company manager; and Lt. Col. James Treece, the COB Adder garrison commander; cut the ribbon during the grand opening ceremony of the new coffee shop.

The coffee shop is scheduled to be open 24-7.
