WASHINGTON (Feb. 9, 2015) -- Shaping the workforce, civilian education and command engagement were the primary topics of discussion during the Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region/ U.S. Army Military District of Washington Town Hall meeting held in the National Defense University's Lincoln Auditorium at Fort Lesley J. McNair.
Town Hall meetings are important methods of communication within an organization and provide an important face-to-face opportunity to recognize individual achievement and reflect on the command's accomplishments, as well as address many events and concerns for the months ahead.
The JFHQ-NCR/USAMDW Headquarters Command Awards Program recognizes military and civilian personnel for their superior leadership, job performance, community involvement, and personal achievements. Selectees of this semi-annual award for the period July 1, 2014 through Dec. 31, 2014 are as follows:
Staff Sergeant Shaun Amend - PM/PD - Sentinel Award, Junior NCO category
Sgt. 1st Class Seth Loimbardy - CSEO - General McNair Award, Senior NCO (not present at ceremony)
Lt. Dijonna Wagner - J3 - Sentinel Award - Company Grade Officer (not present at ceremony)
Lt. Col. Mitchell Butterworth - chaplains Office - General McNair Award, Field Grade Officer
Carolyn Autry - Sentinel Award - Category II Civilian
Michael Wagner - J3 - General McNair Award - Category III Civilian
Other awardees included Shaunteh Kelly - 25 years federal service pin; Jeremy Holz and Larry Young - USAMDW Certificate of Appreciation; Ronda Fortson - Joint Civilian Service Achievement Medal; Robert Facer - Achievement Medal for Civilian Service; Sgt. William Chappell - Army Achievement Medal.
