ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md.--Members of the Army Contracting Command -- Aberdeen Proving Ground delivered over 600 food items to The Salvation Army in Havre de Grace on Jan. 29.

The Social Event Planning Committee and the 926th Contingency Contracting Battalion here organized the food drive to benefit families in need.

"Our annual food drive was a great success," said Ruth Malone, secretary and chairwoman of the Social Event Committee. "We are fortunate to have employees who want to give back to their local community by helping those with less."

According to Salvation Army Assistant Corps Sgt. Maj. Eileen Taylor, the food items will serve a lot of hungry people. "We appreciate your generosity," she said.
