PRESIDIO OF MONTEREY, Calif. -- Are you looking for your dream job? Ever thought of starting your own business but weren't quite sure where to begin or how to make it successful? Considering starting a successful career that can move with you? A rare opportunity is coming to the Monterey area.
The Presidio of Monterey Garrison and American Dream U are hosting a free two-day entrepreneurial and career-inspiration event in Monterey 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Feb. 20 and 21. The event is open to all members of the military community, including military personnel, retirees, veterans, civilian employees and their spouses.
Speakers include highly motivated and successful business experts, authors, entrepreneurs and public speakers who will offer advice, entertain questions and provide guidance.
If you are interested in pursuing your entrepreneurial dream or just need career inspiration, you'll want to hear what these TED-talk style speakers, successful executives, leading authors, and professional athletes have to say.
According to its website, ADU is dedicated to helping military community members transition into the next phases of their lives: the post-military chapter. ADU helps guide community members to the education and resources they need to find their dream jobs or start their own businesses.
This American Dream U event will help attendees find the resources, develop business models and establish networks to help meet your long-term goals.
On Friday the event is scheduled for the Naval Support Activity, Monterey (Naval Postgraduate School). On Saturday, the event is scheduled for the Presidio of Monterey.
According to its website, American Dream U is a non-profit organization with the goal of helping people become successful by assisting with knowledge, resources and networking.
