WIESBADEN, Germany -- In support of a Strong Europe, U.S. Army Europe is conducting Exercise Allied Spirit I at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany, from Jan. 12-31.

Strong Europe conveys the framework of relationships, capabilities, infrastructure, and exercises that assure access for the Army and U.S. interests.

Exercise Allied Spirit includes more than 2,000 participants from Canada, Hungary, Netherlands, United Kingdom and the U.S. Allied Spirit is exercising tactical interoperability and testing secure communications within alliance members.

The purpose of the exercise is to conduct multinational training as well as improving Allied interoperability and cooperation between U.S. and NATO forces.

The exercise's end state is that the training audience demonstrates proficiency in executing unified land operations while simultaneously emphasizing a multi-national team partnership through the use of interoperable systems.
