FORT BRAGG, N.C. -- In a Dec. 19 memorandum, Gen. Mark A. Milley, commanding general, U.S. Army Forces Command, extended to the command's Soldiers, Army Civilian employees and Family members his personal wishes for a safe and enjoyable holiday season.

Milley also thanked the FORSCOM team members for their service, commitment and dedication during the year past.

"This holiday season, our Army continues its vital global role as the nation's guarantor of freedom and model of military professionalism as it has for more than 239 years," Milley said. "Thank you for your service throughout a busy 2014."

As the Army's largest command readies for what is expected to be a challenging and dynamic 2015, Milley also urged all to remember deployed service members, Wounded Warriors, veterans and fallen comrades during the coming days of celebration.
