PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- 1st Sgt. Troy B. Davis, USASMDC/ARSTRAT's noncommissioned officer in charge of Army Space Training Strategy, retired during a ceremony at the command's Peterson Air Force Base headquarters Dec. 12.

During the ceremony Davis, a native of New Mexico, received the Meritorious Service Medal, an American flag, a certificate of appreciation from the president, a three-star note from SMDC's commanding general, a letter of appreciation from SMDC's deputy commanding general for operations, letters from the governor of New Mexico and the mayor of his hometown, an NCO sword, and a certificate of retirement and pin.

Davis retires with 21 years of service.
