VISION:

A fully integrated professional and proactive Command Intelligence and Security organization providing collaborative full-spectrum support to prepare the warfighter for tomorrow today.

MISSION:

Develop, coordinate and execute AMCOM Intelligence and Security programs for the Army's emerging and legacy systems technologies.

AMCOM G-2 executes its mission by providing decisive, professional and timely multidiscipline

intelligence and security support to the AMCOM Commander, his staff, PEO Aviation, PEO Missiles and Space and various other organizations throughout the Redstone Community.

Multi-disciplined Security - entails developing Information Security, Industrial Security, Personnel Security, Foreign Disclosure, COMSEC, TEMPEST, Special Access Programs, Technology Protection and Security Education Guidance. Representing the organization at various meetings on security matters. Developing implementation guidance and new approaches on all matters pertaining to the protection of classified and highly sensitive defense information. Monitoring and analyzing broad program areas and program effectiveness relating to security administration. Identifies security trends throughout the command and provides staff-level advice and assistance in the resolution of systemic problems.

Current Intelligence - provides current-intelligence support and global situational awareness to the AMCOM Commander and PEOs. Prepares high quality analytical products to include intelligence summaries, assessments, threat analyses, special studies, and briefings on current events of intelligence interest.

Threat Support to Acquisition - ensures the proper, complete, and effective integration of threat intelligence to the materiel acquisition process. Monitors information from all sources and reports foreign military developments and trends with potential adverse impact on, or benefit to, assigned programs.

Special Security Officer - manages and provides Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) support and ensures, through centralized accountability and monitoring, uniform application of SCI policies throughout the command. Provides appropriate guidance, direction, advice, and assistance to subordinate SSOs.
