HEIDELBERG, Germany -- U.S. Army Garrison Baden-Wuerttemberg has scheduled a Retiree Appreciation Day at the Patrick Henry Village Pavilion here, Nov. 15 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A variety of services will be available to retired servicemembers and their families during the event.

The Heidelberg Health Center will have staff members available from several of its clinics and divisions, including audiology, optometry, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, orthopedics, internal medicine, family practice, occupational and physical therapy, pharmacy services, social work services, wellness, patient administration, clinical operations and nutrition care. Some of those health center departments will offer medical screenings during the day's events, while others will provide information and help set up appointments.

The staff of the Patrick Henry Dental Clinic will provide general dental screenings on a first-come, first-served basis.

Assistance will be available to provide retirees access to the retired and annuity pay system, allowing on-the-spot changes to pay and entitlements. Participants who wish to make such changes must bring all pertinent banking information with them to the event.

Retirees will have access to many other personnel services as well, such as the Defense Eligibility Enrollment Reporting System, passport and customs services, ID cards, and access to the National Personnel Records Center online.

A representative will be on hand to answer questions pertaining to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
