ANSBACH, Germany (Nov. 25, 2014) -- Self-referring to the Army Substance Abuse Program is an option if you believe you are contending with substance abuse.

Below, and in the photo above, is an anonymous testimonial on U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach ASAP:

"Alcohol has impacted my judgment and my emotions. I would try to drink my problems away, which would sometimes cause me to have an emotional breakdown. My problems kept building up left and right, making it feel like I had a huge weight on my shoulders.

"USAG Ansbach Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) impacted my life when I decided to go to the Alcohol Treatment Facility (ATF) in Landstuhl. The ATF taught me to deal with my problems rather than putting them off. The support group at the ATF was very supportive and very helpful. I continue to come to ASAP and I am currently 122 days sober today. My problems that I had before have diminished greatly. It is a matter of taking it one day at a time and/or taking one problem at a time. Since I have quit drinking I have become a much happier person."
