North Carolina native, Sgt. 1st Class Derrick L. Smith, accepts his retirement certificate from Col. Raymond Compton, commander, U.S. Army Electronics Proving Ground, Nov. 6, 2014. After 20 years of service, Smith retires from his position with USAEPG's Signals Collector/Analyst, Intelligence & Electronic Warfare Test Directorate and spend time with his family in Northern, Virginia. As part of the ceremony, Smith also received the Meritorious Service Medal, one of the many awards and citations he has received during his career.
