FORT BENNING, Ga., (Oct. 22, 2014) -- Fort Benning invites retired military personnel, their Families and annuitants to the 32nd annual Retiree Appreciation Day, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 7 at the Benning Club.
The event includes lunch featuring a guest speaker, door prizes and a health and county fair. This year's guest speaker will be retired Lt. Gen. Jack Klimp, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services.
Donny Philips, deputy chief of the Fort Benning Military Personnel Division, said the event will also update retirees on new information about retirement services and changes on Fort Benning.
"We update retirees and annuitants on their benefits and entitlements and renew the common bond between them and the active Army," he said.
"We'll have a variety of vendors around post present to provide information about their programs and services. (U.S. Army Medical Department Activity) will also provide flu shots this year."
