Iraqi troops assigned to the 2/38/10th IA Div. and U.S. Soldiers from the 5th Bn., 82nd FA Regt., 4th BCT, 1st Cav. Div., dismount a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter during a daytime air assault in the vicinity of Amarah Oct. 18.
TALLIL, Iraq - Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 38th Brigade, 10th Iraqi Army Division conducted an air assault with the help of the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division in the Maysan Province Oct. 18.
During the mission, the Iraqi soldiers identified and questioned five local Iraqis about recent events near their homes.
Troops from the 5th Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, assisted with site exploitation during the operation.
