The Natty O's softball team won the General Competitive Division championship in the Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, Morale, Welfare and Recreation summer softball league.

Led by the Army Contracting Command-APG's Johnna Frantz and Aaron Vandiver, the team advanced to the base championship bracket where they lost.

Eight of the eleven Natty O players work at ACC-APG.

"This is my third season with the team," said Vandiver, the team's second baseman. "The softball league is a great place to meet other people outside of work and have fun. The league championship was a tough game. Despite our loss, we gave the other team some fierce competition. In fact, they were impressed enough with our performance that they tried to recruit a couple of our players."
