U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor visited Pine Bluff Arsenal Aug. 21. He held a press conference to announce funding and toured installation facilities, including the PBA Quality Evaluation Facility. The QEF is one of two facilities in the U.S. that are government-owned, government operated.

In July, the QEF achieved chemical surety status after a decade-long effort to develop a full life-cycle management capability for chemical and biological defense products and equipment.
