In partnership with the Iraqi people, we are fighting to demonstrate that there is an alternative besides tyranny and extremism for the people of this region. Success will create a better life for the Iraqi people and greater security for people of the United States. If we fail, a new breeding ground for terrorism will have been created that will threaten both Iraqis and Americans.
