Most of your normal every day re-enlistment ceremonies will take place within some type of conference room or even outside in a physical training pit, but one Engineer Soldier had the chance to re-enlist where their Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) began, on a Bridge Boat in the middle of the water.

Sgt. Dawn Curatolo, a 12C Bridge Crewmember Instructor at TA 250 had the great opportunity to re-enlist on a bridge section that was pulled to the middle of the lake by a Bridge Erection Boat, where the ceremony was conducted. For Curatolo, this event will mark her ninth year with the United States Army as an Engineer.

Curatolo was a former Drill Sergeant with 31st Engineer Battalion for 14 months and then transitioned to teach upcoming Engineers at TA 250. In later days Curatolo will put her name on the list for reclassification to 12B Combat Engineer when the U.S. Army begins to open this MOS to women in the military.
